The house that
144 Avenue built.
OfferQuestHub began as a twelve-room hotel with a single blackjack table in the lobby. Today it is Edmonton’s offline playground — 148 rooms, a 300-guest conference hall and a casino floor that still shakes hands with every guest.
Mission
To prove that a night out — a real one, with chips, keys and handshakes — still beats anything behind a screen.
From lobby table
to landmark.
The twelve-room beginning
Ray and Mireille Vasseur open a twelve-room hotel on 144 Avenue with a single blackjack table in the lobby — and a rule that every guest is greeted by name.
The gaming floor opens
After Alberta gaming reform, the Vasseurs convert the old warehouse next door into a 1,100 m² casino floor — 40 slots, 6 tables, one very long opening night.
Suites, hall & high-limit
A $14M expansion adds the Executive and Presidential suites, the 300-guest conference hall and the brass-doored High-Limit Lounge.
The offline pledge
While the industry chases apps, OfferQuestHub doubles down on the physical: no online casino, no remote play — every experience happens face-to-face at the venue.
The full illustrated history — 148 pages of floor plans, menus and famous nights — is available at the front desk.

Why we stayed
offline.
In 1998 my wife and I borrowed against everything we had to open twelve rooms and one blackjack table. Every tech wave since then — and there have been many — has brought someone to our office explaining how we could move the whole thing online and cut the payroll in half. We always gave the same answer: the chips are the point, but the people are the reason.
A casino you visit teaches you something a website never will — how to read a table, how to lose with grace, how to celebrate someone else’s run. That is what we sell at 8308 144 Avenue, and as long as this sign is lit, it is what we will keep selling. Come see for yourself — the coffee at the front desk is on the house.
